AU!Background Fin was an abandoned on the doorstep of “Heaven”, an orphanage in the northern U.K. area. Heaven, unlike most orphanages around that time was rather welcoming and warm. They educated their children under the word of God, kept them from harm, and fed them well. No gruel or cabbage (well, the latter for a vegetable despite their complaints). It was like a real home. Growing as warm and loving as the orphanage itself, Fin excelled in everything she could. She was smart and was like a ‘mother’ figure to some, teaching the kids that were younger than her. There was still one problem. Her hair. Unlike the natural shades all the other children had, Fin’s hair was green. It was not red, it was not black, it was not blond, or even the odd white. She may have been one of the best candidates for adoption but every time a couple would go meet her they would merely stare. The abnormality would be too much for them and she would lose oppurtunity. She would never be adopted. That wasn't so bad, though. Toki, Celcia, and Access Time, other orphans in Heaven, became her friends. Toki and Celcia were as productive as Fin and worked hard at Heaven. Access though, kept being the slack one and always got chewed out by Fin and the rest of Heaven. She loved Access though, and he loved her. It was tragic that they ever would never tell each other there feelings. Every so often a few orphans would be allowed to visit London. As such, Fin, Toki, and Celcia were selected when they were 8. Dropped off in London, in the care of Father Sagami, everything seemed to be fine for a while. It was when Fin learned that Father Sagami was actually in a children trafficking that, ahem, shit hit the fan. When Fin confronts him, she is, instead of going to be sold, to be killed. Sagami is her older brother, a squib, who wanted her dead for what she got instead of him. Unknowing of what he meant she defended herself with a pair of scissors and killed Sagami, and in a dramatic release of power, like young wizardlings can do, killed several cohorts and innocent people. Fin ran as Celcia and Toki were mortally injured. She couldn’t go back to Heaven ever again, they wouldn’t accept her and who knew what the police would do (In her later years, she panicked about Azkaban.). In her wanderings of the street, Maou, a gang leader in London, offered his hand to her. Accepting of what she had done and how she looked she accepted his offer. She wanted to live and she wanted to someday see those that she knew again, somehow. Maou was a gang leader of the group ‘Hell’. His demons, other people, were actually part of an illegal blackmarket wizard group. They would curse paintings and art works to see the corruption in muggles. He was, however, the only one who showed Fin affection. He was as lonely as she and scorned everyone just as much. She knew he did things on his own and that he wasn’t ordinary like herself but she didn’t press him. As long as she kept him company and he her, she didn’t care who hated her… a lie that she would regret later. Her mission in the gang was to find innocents with good hearts and steal from them. The Devil would tell her which person to get close to, usually a muggle, and she would. She would become their friend, a daughter, or even a sister until finally she would finally steal their 'heart'. Stealing their heart being a trinket that was precious to them and breaking their real heart. She would hate them, scorn them, say that she never loved them, and run away back to The Devil with a job well done. It hurt as she really did care about them but she knew that she couldn’t stay with them, they wouldn’t accept her. Fin was ‘evil’. She had killed. Once they learned she wouldn’t be able to stay with them, and as such, she couldn’t betray Maou, someone whom she loved. When she finally turned 10 and got the letter to Hogwarts, Maou said she could go on one condition. She could go as long as she kept sending him ‘broken hearts’. He would give her other missions on other occasions but that was all she had to do. To go to a world that accepted her if only a little and to have merely those as conditions, she agreed. He gave her a slip of paper with vault information for Gringotts and sent her off. Now at Hogwarts, Fin sends him letters and ‘broken hearts’ now and again. Her primary mission is to find the person who keeps stealing paintings in the muggle world and get close to her and doing what she did best, manipulate. It was easy to find out that Maron, the DADA assistant was Jeanne, the thief and she did what she was good at. She betrayed her. No matter what Fin did though, Maron believes in the good in her, shown in the fact Fin had yet to go back to Maou just yet. After being in Hogwarts for years now, it was in her later years that she was gaining friends, real friends, people who truly cared for her. Her already complex and pain filled heart grew more and more confused as she looked between her choices. Unable to fight the fact that she cared for them, Maou withdrew her from Hogwarts (Thanks to Noin's tipping). He didn't want her to have friends. It was a weak link and she had forgot the original deal she had. She was betraying him. He's given her one last chance though. One last one. If she betrays him this time never more will she be able to go back to his embrace even if she does care about him. She'd have nowhere to go. | |
